"Make It Last" and "The Song Of My Heart"

So the guy that i am with wrote me some poetry...i know old school, but i dont care its sweet and i wanted to share:

MAKE IT LAST

I write this as you sleep

Here thinking how to sweep

You off your feet

Trust its no easy feat

Both have lost love in past

I don’t plan to take this fast

I would like to make this last

Free our hearts from their casts

For both our sakes

I’ll do whatever it takes

To end our eternal sadness

And to find our happiness

The hardest part is the beginning

But know that in the end

Both sides end up winning

Finding each other as best friend

For now let us take it slow

And see just how things flow

Let feelings guide where to go

And learn each other as we go

The song of my heart

The song of my heart

Has changed since the start

Found a brand new beat

Since our hearts did meet

Faster it goes hearing your name

Knowing what it wants is no game

Stronger it beats to feed the flame

Since into my heart you first came

Its melody unlike any other

Never sounding same as another

For you alone does it sing

Thanks to happiness you bring
